The bunkie itself was amazing! It was beautiful, comfortable, and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed our stay. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t realize the surrounding area was still fairly new and very much a work in progress. There wasn’t much to do right at the property, so anything we wanted to see or do—such as the beach or Pinawa Dam—required driving. The listing mentioned the dam being a one-minute walk away, which gave us a different impression of the location. We also weren’t expecting the view from the bunkie deck to include a sea can with tools and supplies, along with stacks of wood. We completely understand that the area is being developed, and this isn’t meant as a complaint—we simply wish the website had mentioned that the property and surrounding area were still in progress and included photos showing what to expect. We stayed for four nights, and for us, two nights probably would have been perfect. Overall, we loved the bunkie and the opportunity to relax; we just would have appreciated a little more transparency about the location and surroundings when booking.
