Arnaldo did a great job communicating with us before our arrival and even sent detailed check in instructions with videos, however, the electronics were still a bit tricky to figure out but we did do it.
Other than that, the place was amazing. They have everything you could think of including a swimsuit spinner to dry your suits faster.
The space was perfect for our family of 3. The outdoor living space was like a resort of our own. And from that deck, we saw the 3 toed sloth eat and move branches, we saw iguanas, frogs, & birds of all sorts. The grounds keeper was always excited to point out the sloths to us. There were 2 on the property the week we stayed.
We knew the house was a little out of town and it had an amazing view and jungle like feel. It did make meals out a little complicated when doing tours but we just ate at the house on the days as we didn’t want to drive the curvy road at night. And one tour company wanted to charge us an extra $40 to pick us up at the house. We had a rental car so we just met them at their office instead.
Overall, we will stay here again if we ever return to La Fortuna. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave and head to our next town. And when we did arrive at the next place, we really missed Casa Colibri Esmeralda.
