Beautiful property with spacious rooms and great onsen. Superb location close to subway station and only 1 stop from Kyoto JR station. The 2pm checkout was great and although I arrived prior to 5pm check in, I could store my baggage easily and get exploring. The bath and sauna rotate daily between men and woman eg Women have sauna and men have spa. Next day this swaps so men have sun and women have the spa! When staying multiple nights you get to experience both! There are many restaurant close by from McDonalds to Pizza to Ramen. Great location 👍

Beautiful hotel with unique, modern rooms and a great staff. Our favorite of our two-week stay by far. Very foreigner friendly and one of the more upscale hotels we stayed at. Rooms are gorgeous and feel very private. Great onsen, although worth noting it switches genders every day (so women can access one day, men the next). The "off" gender gets access to the sauna, which I did not try. Location is good, in the middle of everything with great transit options, but not in a very touristy area and not too many attractions directly walkable. Subway access is easy (<5 blocks either direction) but the stations in Kyoto can be quite confusing to navigate, so plan your routes on google maps before you leave the hotel.
