Lovely hotel in a great location - a little less crazy than central hotels. Staff (particularly the restaurant greeters) were simply lovely! Friendly, courteous and very efficient. Breakfast was excellent quality and great variety, well worth including in your stay. Social hour could get a little busy (holiday weekend?) but the food and drinks on offer were excellent. VERY happy with our Kyoto hotel choice!

The hotel lobby is spacious and the staffs are very nice and polite. The room design is great, tidy and clean. There are many restaurants near the hotel. There is a supermarket next to the hotel too. The hotel location is near the city Center and very convenient to go to shopping. There are the free drinks including beer, wine , juice, coffee or tea and snacks in the hotel restaurant. Moreover there are two time slots for u to choose. I will come again next time.

This hotel was a beautiful sanctuary in Kyoto. The foyer and lounge were spacious and luxurious, and the generous buffet breakfast and complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge were a highlight. Our room was smaller than we expected, but everything was impeccably clean, modern and well planned. Highly recommend.

Nice sized and comfortable rooms with a stylish reception area, daily “activities” and a “premium lounge” available to all guests with snacks and, after 17:00, alcoholic drinks. Good area of Kyoto with easy access to transport and the market. Only minor weakness is the lack of a hotel bar or anywhere really to sit and have a coffee or drink after 21:00 hours following a day of “temple hopping”.

Richmond hotel

Nice hotel, a lot of money went to the lobby. So the rooms were small we stayed in a 3 person room and you could not open 3 suitcase simultaneously. So if you’re traveling with family take that into consideration!
