This hotel is the perfect location with convenient access to transportation. The staff was great. The property is a bit old and the beds are not as comfortable as I am accustomed to. However, based on location and price, I would still pick this property for future travel.

The hotel looks good but the room is a bit old. I didn’t enjoy the bathtub as the wall has mold. The room has a safe but not working. The staff said that we can store confidential stuff in their safe at the lobby. Our mini fridge was not cold. The staff came quickly to check but concluded that we can store our drinks in their fridge at the lobby. Not very happy about that. The staffs are very friendly and quick to respond but a bit disappointed on the hotel run-down.

It is conveniently close right across the Kyoto Station. There are plenty of dining options in the station as well as the surrounding areas. Shopping is also convenient and the subway as well as the buses are close by. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with directions to anywhere we needed to go. They even stores our suitcases due to our early arrival and late departure.

The hotel is right outside Kyoto station and pretty convenient for taking city trains or for day trips. Breakfast is not to par. Rooms are nice but the bedding could be better. If you don’t want to use city trains or buses, cabs are conveniently available outside. It is within walking distances to lots of cafes and food areas.

Staff are very nice and speak English well. They helped me forward my luggage as I checked out. It’s very close to the station, about a 5-7 minute walk. There’s an underground mall called Porta that has lots of food options, as well as shopping.There’s no laundry at this hotel so we went to a laundromat about 10 minutes walk to do it.

Older hotel, did not need to scan key to access your floor so could be a safety/security issue if you ask me. Front desk was not very helpful, asked for help with luggage transfer, got handed a pamphlet and basically got told to figure it out…then had cleaning come into our room after we had the “no cleaning/ do not disturb” ” signs on the door, they did not even knock, while we were half asleep and not properly dressed, very uncomfortable and felt like an intrusion of privacy, for price was ok but wouldn’t stay again.
