Right outside station, easy for travel. Old school hotel but really nice and comfortable. Would stay again for sure. Easy to get downtown for food etc but also the underground shopping mall at station is very good for eating.

This is our second time staying in this hotel. We will not come back if we didnt like it. We love this hotel. Old but very affordable and close to everything. Imagine just across the street is the train station, cant better than that! Plus all the shopping and tokyo tower is just around the corner! Everything is great here! Not much but the location is unbettable.

Great stay and superb location!

This place was great, we had connecting rooms for the two adults and two adult size kids. In case you are wondering like I was, a twin mattress in Japan is bigger than a US twin size but smaller than a full. It would be hard for two people to sleep on it. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. It’s right in the middle of great shopping and restaurants and 2 mins from the Kyoto train station. The Kyoto station has a huge mall in it too. The staff was friendly and always greeted us warmly.

Stayed our last 3 nights of trip here as our goto hotels were booked up. Everything was great in the room besides the cleaniness of the washrooms. We had 2 rooms for our family and both washrooms were horrendous. Mildew, mold and deep grime on the ledges. The moment I walked in after check-in I took a Kleenex to wipe the ledge above the sink to see if they were scratches.. no! It's deep grime and even after several wipes I didn't get it cleaned so it's been like that for ages! Disgusting! The washroom door frames of both room where full of mildew/mold. It's not up to Japanese cleaniness standards and the staff may not be given the time or instructions to address deep cleaning of the washrooms? Also how did past guests not file complaints or they are content culturally to have such a dirty washroom? Very unfortunate for the convinence of this hotel location. We will not return having experienced other excellent Kyoto hotels next the the station for similar price point. Hope the mgmt will cross check their cleaning staff training and procedures.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful with directions. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Location is across the Kyoto train/bus station. The room is spacious enough for 3 people with unlimited toiletries.

The building is old. Very pricey but I guess the location makes it that way. Just right across Kyoto station. (But we stayed at a Universal Studio hotel next to train staton which cost less.) Not noise proof so sleep may not be that good due to passing traffic. We set the room temperature to lowest setting but we still felt warm. Water from washroom tap says drinkable but I am skeptic getting drinking water from a tap next to the toilet bowl. Suggestion: put a water station where the ice machine is. Staff were really nice!
