Excellent location with access to Kyoto station only steps away. Great food options nearby. We travelled with a family of 4 and there was more than enough space for all of us. Was a nice change from the more “efficient” rooms we had in Tokyo. We all could spread out and have our own spaces. Suite had all the amenities we needed and more. Only thing that would have been nice to have was an ice cube tray but that’s a pretty minor criticism. Definitely recommend this property to a to anyone wanting a comfortable, clean and secure place to stay.

This property was excellent, better than photos reveal. Everything was in great shape and the property provided some toiletries as well. 2 toilets and 2 showers were very convenient, and the property was in close proximity to 7-11 and Kyoto station. Great!

Hanare Kyoto worked perfectly for my family of 4. The location was ideal - 5 min walk to the Kyoto train station, but set back on a quiet street and very private. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. We took advantage of the nice kitchen and ate breakfast at home every day. The in-unit washer/dryer was wonderful to have. Both bedrooms are upstairs, while the bathrooms are downstairs. The stairs are pretty steep - they weren’t a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with someone who has difficulty with stairs or you have large/heavy suitcases. Having a separate bedroom for the kids was a huge plus. The only thing I would change is the lack of blackout curtains in the bedrooms. I had to sleep with an eye mask on because it was so bright by 5am. My husband got up early every day due to the brightness. Otherwise, everything about our stay was wonderful. I definitely recommend Hanare Kyoto, especially if you plan to use the trains frequently.
