From your private balcony you enjoy the green garden view, while the shared garden invites you to relax under the Caribbean sun.

The Neighborhood:
Kralendijk center with the boulevard, piers, sailing and motor boats at the mooring buoys and colorful facades: here you sit right among restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling the boulevard in the evening. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to the amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.
Villa Valena 7 is approximately 1.1 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket, 2.3 kilometers from Dive Friends Yellow Submarine dive center, 500 meters from Chachacha Beach, 900 meters from the center of Kralendijk and 550 meters from At Sea restaurant.
Sunwise insider tip: Just a half hour drive from Villa Valena 7 lies Washington Slagbaai National Park, the first national park of the Netherlands Antilles. This 5,643-hectare nature reserve covers nearly a quarter of Bonaire and offers two beautiful routes. The long route (34 km) leads past spectacular coastal points like Playa Chikitu and Boka Kokolishi, while the short route (22 km) goes through the interior to Brandaris, at 241 meters Bonaire's highest point. Along the way you'll spot flamingos at Gotomeer, the island's largest saltwater lagoon, and enjoy unspoiled nature where cacti, iguanas and more than 200 bird species make their home.
Getting Around:
Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Villa Valena 7. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.
Other Things to Note:
Check-in to Villa Valena 7 is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 10:00 AM. Early arrival or late departure may be possible on request, depending on other reservations.
