Fantastic location, restful stay

We had a great stay, the location of the bungalows is excellent, just a few metres from a lovely quiet beach and built around a large pool. The room was spacious with a small terrace looking out over the beach. The bathroom was v tired and in need of an upgrade but had all you needed. We loved the beach and being able to sunbathe round the pool which was lit at night. Great value for money in a wonderful part of Thailand.

Not bad, also not good.

The bungalow we were staying in was one of the older ones and it shows. The bed was like a plank, the bathroom was fairly shabby and there was almost no water pressure. On a positive; the airco worked and the hotel breakfast was pretty good. The location also cannot be faulted and the beach is lovely.

Great Thai beach bungalows

These bungalows are located right on the beach. We found them clean, each one having a little balcony with table and chairs and a sea view. Fairly basic but suited just fine. Not that big so better for a couple or single person. Could squeeze one child in but a family of 4 would struggle. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was delicious and very good value. Nice quiet location right on the beach with a 15 min walk into the centre of Maenam. Could also easily get a taxi into the centre of Bo Phut/fishermans village for a more buzzing nightlife and good shopping.

Quiet Beach Bungalow

The bungalows were quite nice. Very quiet. It rained all day our first day, so we weren't able to enjoy the beach. The accommodations were quaint, reminded me of a cabin. Low water pressure, but warm water. The hotel restaurant was lovely, reasonably priced for Thai fare. The wifi would only work in the restaurant, it didn't extend to the bungalows. Overall it was very quiet and relaxing. Aircon worked well, but there was minimal linens (only a sheet for a blanket) so we just stuck with the fan. Staff was very friendly. There wasn't much around the bungalows aside from a few quiet bars and a convenience store on the main road. We were able to rent a scooter, and scoot around a bit. Not too far from Chaweng. Would be good for families, very kid friendly.

Ich habe mich rundherum wohl gefĂŒhlt! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann hier prima entspannen und chillen und einfach die Seele baumeln lassen. Auch das Essen im Restaurant ist köstlich. Allerdings ist man ohne fahrbaren Untersatz dort ganz schön abgeschnitten. TatsĂ€chlich ist da eigentlich gar nichts rundherum. Wenn das nicht stört, der ist hier super aufgehoben! Man darf in den einfachen HĂŒtten kein Luxus erwarten, aber das habe ich auch nicht. Preisleistung, unschlagbar!

Der Strand am Shangrilah Resort Mae Nam Beach ist nicht nach meinem Geschmack. Schlecht zum laufen aber sehr schön im Schatten unter den Palmen zu entspannen. Strand wird leider nicht nur von Hotel GÀsten genutzt die sich zum Teil sehr egoistisch ausbreiten

Einfache Unterkunft direkt am Strand

Eine ruhige Anlage mit nettem Personal. Die Standardzimmer sind sehr einfach und nur ĂŒber steile Stufen zu erreichen. Die anderen Zimmerkategorien sind gerĂ€umiger und haben schöne Terrassen. Kleine WĂ€schestĂ€nder vorhanden. Ein Wasserkocher wurde auf Nachfrage hin zur VerfĂŒgung gestellt. Teebeutel u Instantkaffee konnte man dann vom FrĂŒhstĂŒck mit aufs Zimmer nehmen. Der Pool hat eine tolle GrĂ¶ĂŸe und Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind dort vorhanden. Am ruhigen Strandabschnitt kann man jedoch nur auf HandtĂŒchern liegen. Diese erhĂ€lt man aber vom Hotel. Das Meer ist nahezu frei von Steinen und herrlich. Keine Badeschuhe nötig. Der Strand lĂ€dt zu langen SpaziergĂ€ngen ein und in kleinen Restaurants kann man jederzeit gut essen. Auch die StrandverkĂ€ufer bieten Snacks an. Die Anlage selbst könnte viel grĂŒner sein. Gerade um den Pool, den FrĂŒhstĂŒcksraum und die Rezeption herum ĂŒberwiegt der blanke Beton. Da fehlen einfach die tropischen Pflanzen. Alles in allem: fĂŒr einen ruhigen Urlaub gut geeignet.

Schöne Bungalowanlage direkt am Strand

Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Man hat die Auswahl zwischen Grand Deluxe Bungalows, Deluxe Bungalows und recht einfachen Bungalows. Obwohl man sagen muss Deluxe ist relativ. Wir hatten den Deluxe Bungalow, der war sehr gut aber man sollte sich von dem Begriff Deluxe nicht zuviel erwarten. Die Lage ist direkt am Strand. Schöner Pool. FrĂŒhstĂŒck ist allerdings eine Katastrophe. Aber alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub. WĂŒrden wir die Anlage auf jedenfall wieder buchen.

endroit superbe bien aménager plage propre. trÚs gros problÚme de communication( ne parle pas le français) donc aucune discussion et nous nous parlons pas anglais donc barrage de langue.Dans mon bungalow pas de drap et pas eaux chaude nous avons pas pu demander des draps vue le problÚme de langue.

Bungalows fĂŒr jedermann

Das Shangrilah hat fĂŒr jedermann was zu bieten. Ganz gĂŒnstig bis hin zu "teuer" fĂŒr thailĂ€ndische VerhĂ€ltnisse. Ich hatte einen "Sunrise" Bungalow der wirklich gut war. Der Strand ist der Wahnsinn, da nicht alle Personen da hin rennen und die Umgebung sowie die Leute in der Anlage sind offen und nett.

Beachfront Bungalow

Wir hatten den Bungalow in der ersten Reihe - und haben ĂŒber expedia sehr viel gespart :). Das Personal ist allerdings nicht sonderlich freundlich und verfĂŒgt nur ĂŒber geringe Englischkenntnisse. Aber der Bungalow war sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. FĂŒr den vollen Preis hĂ€tte ich es aber etwas ĂŒberteuert gefunden. Das Essen war ok.
