Staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Especially at pointing us in the right direction for food options as the immediate area is sparse (Town’s Heart Indian nearby was very good though). Only slight negative was that the water pressure could have been a bit better. It wasn’t horrible but I like a more firm blast.

There was no hot water. For such a large, expensive hotel you would assume there is hot water available for a shower. We let the water run for 10 minutes and the water was literally still ice cold. When we told the manager at the front desk, we were told that we must let the shower run for at least 15 minutes before you get hot water because the hotel is busy. When mentioned that it didn't make any sense, if everyone in the hotel is running the water for 15 minutes - how does it suddenly get hot, that is not how water heaters work, I was met with a very rude response. I do not recommend this hotel at all - completely overpriced and downright rude customer manager. Stay away.

Review of Fairfield Marriott Guelph I don’t usually write reviews, but since I travel with kids, I find it helpful to know what to expect. There were both positives and negatives during our stay. First impressions were mixed — some staff could have been more welcoming. We went down for breakfast shortly after 9, and it was already being cleared away. Thankfully, one staff member kindly offered my kids some fruit and cereal and let me grab a plate of hot food before everything was put away, which I really appreciated. The pool was a disappointment for us. The chlorine smell was very strong, and the deck had visible grime buildup and pooling water, which made it extra slippery. The water slide was closed during our stay — one of the reasons we chose this hotel — which was a letdown for the kids. Overall, the rooms and hotel could use a deeper clean. The jetted tub in our room also felt like a bit of a gamble, as I know they’re tough to maintain (I even brought my own disinfectant wipes to feel comfortable). Overall, the stay was okay, but with more attention to cleanliness, safety, and communication about amenities, it could be a much better experience for families.

Stayed here for one night with my kids. Was very disappointed that the water slide was out of service but thankfully the pool and whirlpool were open.
