I enjoyed staying at ROK Hotel. It was next to the water, so you do have a nice breeze at night. There’s a local coffee shop and some dining options across the street. However, the hotel does have a cafe, full restaurant, and poolside restaurant as options for dining. The DJ’s played good music by the pool if you want to relax at hotel in a Friday or Saturday evening. Staff were nice and accommodating and the hotel is very clean. I even worked out at the fitness center and they have great equipment to get the job done. I will stay at ROK Hotel again when I book for Kingston.

While the hotel has nice art, a good pool area, and ok rooms, it is not really well maintained and the staff are lackadaisical at best. Our suite had a perpetual leak in the bathroom, broken chairs and curtains, the outlet for the coffee maker didn't work, and the ice machine on our floor didn't work. The bar food by the pool was not great and very expensive. The food at Palate was very nice and worth the cost. Excellent service there and tasty food. The breakfast which I thought was included cost $31 per person for a lame buffet. The front desk staff often weren't there or provided slow, no great service. They don't provide concierge services and the transportation company they contract with is more expensive than its worth. There was a good view of the ocean and it was nice to be close to the national gallery but otherwise the area around the hotel was very sad and rundown.

Area around the property was awful, I will not stay here and I would not recommend anyone to stay in this area or at this motel. Staff was somewhat friendly. Disappointed in Hilton with this one. Only thing that was great was the air-conditioning in the room and the bed quality was good. Disappointed in the shower because it leaked water every time no matter how much you turn the shower head away from the glass door the water will still leak out the bottom. at least the TV worked.

I enjoy my stay at ROK the only issue I had was the lighting in the bathroom and the room. It’s way too dark, other than that staff was great and the location is in walking distance to shops.
