Built in 2013 and meticulously maintained, Work Trip is a charming coastal cottage that still looks and feels like new construction. The oceanside location means you'll be just a short walk to Asheville Drive public beach access - less than 500 feet from the house! After a day of fun in the sun, come home and take a relaxing soak in the bubbly hot tub. Inside, a comfortably furnished great room features hardwood flooring and a coastal-inspired color palette. The 9' ceilings and an open-concept layout make the space feel bright and airy. When you're not dining out, prepare meals at home in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar seating for two. At the end of the night, retreat to the top-level primary suite with king bed and spa-like private bath.

Downstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a second full bath. There's also a spacious den with pull-out sofa that can be used as an additional hangout space or for alternative sleeping arrangements. Grab a chilled bottle from the wine fridge and relax on the covered patio. This cozy outdoor oasis overlooks a lush and barefoot-friendly lawn perfect for kids, pets and yard games.

We enjoyed staying in this house. We visited the Outer Banks for a ladies get-away, and everyone found the house to be very clean and comfortable with easy access to the beach. We agreed that we would stay at this house on our future visits to Kill Devil Hills.

House itself was great! Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Great space. Clean! Comfy beds. Great couch. Short walk to beach! AMAZING AC! Super hot water! Outside shower and hot tub are great perks alsoReason for 4 stars:When we got there, the fridge wasn't working (it read 58 degrees). I called the emergency line, as it was after hours, and the lady rudely told me that wasn't an emergency. It did eventually get cold, which is good because I didn't hear anything from anyone for TWO days. So heads up that the fridge takes a while to cool down after its cleaned.The lawn was not mowed and looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. They mowed it Friday, right before we left. Lol

Overall, a wonderful stay in OBX! We brought our dog and our 3 kids ages 8-13. More than enough space to spread out and relax! We loved walking to the beach every day, then returning every evening to walk the beach. Super close to everything we needed. House was clean and comfortable. Kids had their own separate space from parents upstairs. I could wake up with my coffee every morning while they slept. Dream of a vacation.
