Listing said partial water view, which was correct. We had a 2nd floor suite that had a nice view of the water from the bedroom. Lot of traffic noise, but can't be helped, busy road. It's a little out of the way from downtown which was fine with us. Only negative would be property and rooms could use an update, but overall a nice stay.

This was the best hotel we’ve stayed at in years. Huge, spotless, bright, great beds and pillows. All the rooms had an ocean view. They gave us a free upgrade to a two story unit. It wasn’t right down town but getting to Duval street or other places was 10-12 minutes. Perfect.

This property is marketed as a resort with resort fee. There is no breakfast and no restaurant. Obviously no room service. Our suite was very nice, spacious and well equipped with cooking utensils etc. Worse was that weather became very cold with stormy winds but the A/C system has no heating ! Only cooling. They did not have comforters and have us extra cotton “blankets”. My wife could not sleep that night. The location is good. For breakfast you have to drive 10-15 minutes unless you are contended with the gas station sandwich and coffee or a fast food chain. We did not use the pool so can’t comment.

The room is decorated great, and the layout of the room is wonderful. It is a full suite with living room, kitchen with all the kitchen items you’ll need, and a separate bedroom with an entrance to the bathroom from the hallway and the bedroom. The area is great with shopping within walking distance. We used Uber to get to everything else. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed six nights in a suite with four adults. Initially, the staff was very responsive to our needs—providing extra towels and soap, addressing a leaky shower, and helping us secure scooters. Unfortunately, my experience declined significantly after checkout. I realized I had left my blow dryer and two styling brushes in the room and called immediately. I was told to call back the next morning so housekeeping could arrange shipping the items. After that, it took multiple calls to management to get any information, only to be told that nothing was found in the room. I felt completely ghosted—there was no accountability from management, and promised callbacks from staff and management never happened. I had to repeatedly follow up myself just to get a status update. While the items themselves may seem minor, they did not simply disappear. They were either discarded, removed, or stolen, and the lack of communication and ownership was extremely disappointing. I am still waiting for a call back from the general manager after my last conversation. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. Due to this experience, I will not be staying at an Opal property again.

Serious health and safety issue. During our stay, all four members of our family — including two children — developed multiple itchy insect bites. Symptoms appeared upon waking the following morning, which strongly suggests overnight exposure. This strongly suggests unsanitary conditions, possibly insects in the room. We have photos and documentation. This experience was extremely uncomfortable and concerning, especially involving children.

This was a very nice stay with my family of 5. There was a good amount of room for everyone to spread out. It had a nice balcony overlooking the pool and the bay. Everything was very clean and crisp. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet at night. We enjoyed going into key west for exploring and dinners. This was a nice home base. The pool is very nice although there is a considerable amount of road noise as the hotel is right on the main road to get into key west. This was not an issue while in the room but if sitting on the balcony or at the pool. This was immensely helped by being able to go to the Capitana pool, the sister property, more of a resort setting and an oasis away from the noise. Overall, we enjoyed staying here and found it to be a lovely place for a family of 5 driving distance to all of the attractions and nightlife. And it was good to know dogs are allowed, I wish we had brought him!!
