Watch out for upcharges!!! They charge a $50 daily parking fee to park in their lot for the benefit of staying at their resort. There is also a resort fee tacked onto whatever you pay Expedia and/or to the resort.
The room we booked was not the room we were assigned. We were told at check-in that to get the room we wanted (and booked), there was a $300 per night upcharge. Instead of a Superior Room on the beach, they were going to put us in a room facing a busy street. Worse, the room we booked didn't even exist.
Every morning the maids flip the deadbolt locks on the doors of the rooms that they are cleaning, and bang them every time they enter and leave a room...countless times when they are cleaning. Up and down the walkway, it sounds like guns going off...woke us up every morning. I mentioned this to the cleaning service manager, who I just happened to run into on the stairs one morning. I suggested that they give each maid a piece of rubber to wedge in the door. She stood and listened to the constant banging, agreed it was annoying, but did nothing.
Upon check-in, our bed was full of sand.
When we checked out, the registration staff was super busy, and they told me that they'd email me my bill. The printer was down and a lot of people were checking in--long line. In spite of repeated requests since our visit, I cannot get the office to send our invoice to see what all I paid for...$930 in upcharges.
Great location. Terrible customer service.
