8/10 Good

If you want a nice place at a decent price and aren't looking to do any fishing at the marina, this is a good choice. The only reason we didn't give this 5 stars was the brown, smelly water at the marina/boat ramp. If you bring your boat, just know that getting a full-sized boat into the parking spot at this rental could be tricky (close quarters, tight angles). We had a kayak trailer so it was pretty easy.We chose this rental because the complex had a boat ramp and docks where we thought we'd want to fish at night. Due to the yucky water, casting a line at the marina was not ideal. During the day we did see 3 manatee in the marina. Our plan was to do some kayak fishing in the canals and the Bay but it was too windy to kayak (April gusts were persistent 30 mph) which is not the owners fault. It was disappointing not to even be able to fish off the dock (if I were a fish, I wouldn't be in that water).AC worked well, the king bed was comfy, the outdoor patio was lovely, and the golf cart was fun. Key Largo Chocolate is a 27 minute walk (5 minute drive) from this rental. I highly recommend trying their Key Lime Pie on a Stick! Having this favorite spot nearby was a real plus. We also found a couple of nice dinner restaurants within short driving distance. The unit is at the back of the park, a lot more quiet than near the pool. However, Saturday night was noisy even at our end with loud music until midnight. The rest of the time it was quiet.
