Great location! Next to ocean and shopping areas. Clean room and property. Beautiful pool but the spa was closed for repair, which totally bummed me out because I was looking forward to that. Staff was friendly except for the concierge. Check in and out was easy. Convenient parking.

I visited this property with my daughters and friends. This property was beautiful and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only bad about this was the concierge. We were told we needed to pick up a welcome package and wristbands from her. We did try but found out she was only available from 2pm to 7pm. We expressed we had plans during those times and she still continued to call, message and leave us notes. We did finally manage to catch up to her she wanted to know where my husband was. I informed her, I was there with my daughters, and my husband was at home she set 2 wristbands on the counter and dismissed me. No welcome package or anything further. I loved this resort and would have loved to give it 5 stars throughout, but she really ruined it for me.

Overall, we really enjoyed this well set up resort. The front desk staff was always welcoming and helpful, the grounds were beautiful. The only bad experience we had was with the concierge, who kept calling, messaging and leaving us notes to come pick up a welcome package and wrist bands. She was only available from around 2pm to 7pm. We had plans during those hours and expressed as much, however she kept up with the calls, messages etc. When we finally did manage to connect with her and she found out I was not 28 she set 2 wristbands on the desk and pretty much dismissed me, no welcome package just wristbands. If that was not part of the experience I would have given 5 stars throughout.

Getting pushed to attend a timeshare presentation wasn't a good first impression, but we loved the space and rest our room provided as well as all the amenities (pool, shopping, restaurants). We did not know there was not a daily cleaning service, and more information could have been provided about taking care of trash, laundry, etc. The front desk staff were hit-and-miss - some were great, others were dismissive and made us feel like we were bothering them. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again!

Check in was easy and Makana was super sweet! Our room had every amenity we could ask for including a washer/dryer. The bed was very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed walking to the market, which was next-door and the availability of a restaurant on the premises was a plus!

Terrible. Don't go here. Full disclosure they did refund me one day. We were on our Hawaiian vacation that we saved for, when I received a phone call from the hotel saying I needed to come back and see the concierge to get our "passes" thinking this is for the pool and stuff there. She was very rude and asked us to leave the beach (45 min away) and come back now. We said we couldn't so she said we needed to by 5pm when she left. So we cut our day short, we knew the kids wanted the pool so we cut it short to get back to get this done. We come back to find there were no passes, nothing we needed, she just wanted to sell us a time share. I have never been so angry in my life. We missed out on 1/2 day of our Hawaiian vacation because of a time share pitch. Like I said they did refund us a day, but made the entire trip have a black cloud over the place we were staying. The rooms were old, beds really bad, furniture very uncomfortable, all things I would have never written a review about. Don't stay here. Or if you do, don't let them tell you you have to come back for anything. Such a joke.

Absolutely amazing. I could not recommend this place enough. My husband and I have stayed at several resorts, even all inclusive resorts, and this place exceeded our expectations. Quiet, safe, walkable to a lot of shops. ABC store right across the street. Lots of good & coffee places within walkable distance. Resort also has their own coffee daily and a 24/7 gift shop for smaller items. Beach you can swim at if you walk one minute on the walking path. Staff was excellent and helpful for all of our requests. Pool bar closes early, but it’s Kauai everything closed early. Central to both sides of the island so it’s about 40 minutes to popular destinations on both sides of island. Rooms are very spacious, and highly recommend booking one with the kitchen. Staff kept the grounds very clean.

Absolutely loved this place! Beautiful landscaping! Loved watching the sunrise on the ocean every morning. Restraunt was so good we ate there twice even though it's on the expensive side. Would love to stay again!

The resort is beautiful. The location is halfway to all beaches of interest and activities. The beds and rooms are so comfortable. Slept like a baby! Staff were amazing. Can’t say enough of the beauty of this place.

First of all, we really liked the location of this resort and the property itself was really well kept and beautiful. However, the particular room we were assigned (#3109 in Canoe building) was not great. When we first entered the room we were welcomed with an overwhelming pungent odor of mold/mildew/mustiness. The front desk was contacted and they replaced the air filter and put an ionizer in the room while we were not in it. This did help the smell decrease over time, but it was very apparent that the staff knew this was an issue with our specific room. I'm not sure why a complete remodel/overhaul of this room in particular is not being done to alleviate this known issue (the smell was really bad inside the dishwasher so that may be the culprit). There were some other issues with the room such as the closet door in the twin bed room was wonky and the door of that same bedroom would not stay open unless propped. Otherwise the Coconut Marketplace right next door was a really nice to walk around at and the location on the island to get to both sides pretty easily was also a bonus. The Lava Lava Beach Club at the property right next door was a great place for dinner!
