We booked a city view room, unbeknown to us that it’s right beside a railway line! Trains run all night. They do provide a white noise machine to try to eliminate the noise from the trains but the white noise is also hard to listen too! Air conditioning unit very noisy so if u keep it on, you won’t hear the trains😂😂

Large hotel in central Kamloops near the park. Unfortunately the room was warm but the aircon was very noisy to have on overnight so a restless night. The pool was ok but there were some local kids in there jumping in and running around, reported to staff and left as didn’t feel safe. The room smelt of sick, possibly from a previous resident and not cleaned properly, reported to hotel. Not a great stay, would stay somewhere else next time.

I didn't sleep particularly well due train noise despite being a railfan but still like overlooking the RR. I am a light sleeper and trains aren't the hotel's fault! Perhaps I will try the park side next time. The front desk duo were particularly good with good customer skills.

For a signature property, the room was in tough shape. Wallpaper falling off the wall in the bathroom, they painter the tile in the shower so had flakes of paint stick to my feet. And the icing on the cake was someone else's body hair on the wall of the shower before we used it
