Reserved 2 queen beds and they were definitely NOT queens, but doubles. To say that room slept 4 is a stretch. Lots of unattended chilsren at pool and breakfast.

So as advertised Tru by Hilton has a “fun and colorful” presentation. Our 2 queen bedroom however had NO dresser and NO closet. If you are staying more than overnight, you will be living out of your luggage. The room and bathroom was clean and bed comfortable. Minimalist is what you pay for and it is what you get. The big selling point in the reviews was breakfast. This was the biggest disappointment of our stay. There was one totally overwhelmed employee working the entire breakfast area. There were no knives or spoons when they were needed, and the various waffle and pancake mixes were empty more often than not. But please understand that the offered breakfast was no different from any commercial hotel. The usual stuff and nothing special and obviously understaffed. Housekeeping comes every 2 days apparently. The staff behind the main desk were nice and courteous. Only real negative was absolutely zero place to put your belongings. No closets to hang anything or dressers. Kudos to Liticia and Amy For trying to help us as much as possible. They were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff was above average from check in, housekeeping, kitchen etc. In my 66 years I have never experienced a more accommodating, friendly, bend over backwards group of staff members.
