Studio condo in the middle of Kona with an oceanfront view. It has A/C. and is walking distance to all of the local restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, churches, and farmers market. Also, just a short walk to the beach.

It was such a lovely stay! The view of the ocean was perfect, and we loved having breakfast on the lanai. It's such a convenient location to walk to lots of shops and restaurants. We would definitely come back! Random observations: *The TV is large and worked well.*The bed was very comfortable (it's on the softer side, which I like--if you prefer very firm, it's maybe not for you). *The AC works great. It provided great white noise and cooling at night, and we just turned it off when we sat on the lanai and wanted to more easily hear the ocean. *Helpful beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and cooler. *The pool was lovely!

Great place and location. My only concern to others is that it can be loud at times outside since it’s on Alii Drive. The place is small, but comfortable and walkable to most places we went to.

Fun location closer to Ali’i Drive than we expected. Convenient for walking around town and to restaurants. Parking is limited.The unit was small at just 340 sq ft, but very cute. The bed was up on a tiled platform not much bigger than the bed which made getting in and out difficult and dangerous in the dark. We brought a nightlight which really helped.

We enjoyed this condo, but there are a few critiques. First, there are currently a few little bugs you could find in the kitchen area. While there aren't many at all now, if pest control isn't done soon, there could be a big pest problem. Next, the towels and bedsheets had a mildewy smell. That was disappointing. In addition, the parking is very limited, and you may have to walk quite a bit from your street spot once you finally find a space. And just be warned - there are no longer any welcome chocolates (I agree this last one is very minor). These are the main cons. However, there are many positives with this condo. The place was stacked with numerous items you need, and that's especially great for those of us flying in from the mainland. Moreover, the location was excellent. The view from the porch was amazing, and you can walk to restaurants and shops. There is also a beach across the street. I didn't love this place as others, but it is a charming condo that's a good deal. Overall, while some improvements are needed, this is a a good place to stay.

The unit was as advertised, for our "stay-cation" from our home at South Point. It was clean and welcoming with "house rules," wifi password, coffee (thank you!) Shampoo amlnd nice thick fluffy towels... Everything we needed was available, and easily found. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, listening to the surf, enjoying the beautiful plantings while people watching the action on Alii Drive! Mahalo for a nice stay.
We loved the old Hawaii style gardens and open air lobby.
Pool is cosy, but very pleasant with nice BBQ area.

We liked our stay at the Kona Islander. The condo had all the essentials however the bed was not comfortable & the couch sagged in the middle & was a little dirty. Everything else was sufficient. The neighbourhood was very noisey with cars, music & people all night long. Hot tub was broken for most of our stay. Otherwise, we loved the area with all the shops & restaurants and pool area was great too.

Welcoming and beautifully appointed for a Hawaiian vacation! Handy extras (beach towels, beach chairs). And no need to go to beach bars for sunsets with the view from this deck. Gorgeous.

The space was great for the two of us. We made some good meals with the hot plate and electric fry pan! The BBQ'S BY THE POOL was well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was good. If you open the front door and slider, you can get a nice breeze. Nice for some quiet from the air conditioner The pool was very nice! Great way to relax and cool off in the afternoon.The space is located in the middle of town on the main strip. You can walk just about anywhere.The view from the lanai is somewhat obstructed.It was still beautiful. And the sunsets were amazing!!

Great Location!

This location is super-you can see and hear the ocean and just steps away from shopping and restaurants. Tiny cute studio suite. Appreciated all the little extras-fruit, water, ice, beach towels, etc.

Love this place!

The unit was extremely clean. They had the AC set to cold which was so needed and appreciated. There was a very nice welcome card with water and chocolate in the fridge for us. We love this location so much, right down the street from shops and restaurants. We watched sunset from the lanai. They had beach towels, chairs, snorkel gear, really everything we could of needed to make our trip comfortable. They have a smart TV so we got to turn on our own Netflix on our down time. I can't wait to book again next year!
