Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel – THEY EMPTY YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS! We stayed in several hotels in Hawaii for three weeks and were very happy with our vacation overall. We chose this hotel for the final days of our trip so that our children could simply enjoy swimming and playing on the sandy beach. We are stayed at this hotel from October 19–23, We paid for our stay with two separate bankcards, mine and my husband’s. When we checked out, we were told everything was fine and received a printed copy of the final bill. In the following days, something suspicious started happening: Courtyard Kona Beach Marriott began charging our cards repeatedly, taking various amounts. On my account alone, 19 separate transactions were attempted — random sums like €549, €541, €248, €836, and others. Together, from our two accounts, we lost several thousand euros before realizing what was happening. After 36 hours and three flights home, we discovered that our accounts had been emptied. We immediately contacted our bank to block the cards. We have been trying to reach Marriott for a week, but they ignore our emails and have not refunded our money. We travel frequently around the world and usually choose high-end, reputable hotels — but this is the first time ever that a supposedly trusted brand like Marriott has stolen from us our card data. ⚠️ If you don’t want to face the same nightmare, do NOT use your bank card at this hotel!

We loved the view, the beds were comfy, and the beautiful lobby smelled fantastic! Great swimming beach with lots of tropical fish, and the luau was so much fun! All the staff was so friendly! Thanks for making our Hawaiian adventure special!

To the hotel valet (IAN) Thank you for your kindness towards Aunties! Entire hotel staff is fantastic and so very helpful and polite and Very welcoming! Our room was spotless clean and beautiful! Will start to say that the hotel is placed in a very nice location and in general is very clean inside. But for the price you pay for this hotel name, we were expecting a little bit more than we got. For example, the parking was additional payment, the so-called included Wi-Fi was very slow, but they were offering a faster version, of course, if we paid extra. We couldn’t keep the doors open on the balcony because of all the noise that’s going on around the hotel. The shower was half functioning. I think we learned our lesson and we won’t stay there again.

Very nice stay, even considering there was a massive event going. The staff is incredibly friendly, there’s a bunch of shops/amenities inside the place, getting in and out from town was easy. It’s not the most incredible resort beach, but for the price it’s fine. Easily travel to other beaches nearby. Only negative I have was the aircon didn’t work one night, but was quickly resolved. Would come back

Filthy, RUDE staff and unkempt. We were there FOUR DAYS…requested the room to be clean on numerous occasions….NO ONE EVER CAME TO CLEAN THE ROOM! Mold and dirty everywhere..inside and outside of the room. This was the absolute worst Marriott branded location that we’ve ever stayed in! Mold in the shower stall, stains on the carpet, inside & outside of the room. A distinct #2 smell in the room. The facility is older than a lot of places…but old should not mean dirty and filthy.
