Property was nice. Extras like cookies, coffee, tea and wine were available upon arrival and were also nice touches. I appreciated the water bottles in the refrigerator, as well as a little tray on the bed with chocolates and instructions for Wi-Fi and so forth. Clean room and bathroom. Convenient location to what I needed. Owner was very nice. However, I had to walk through the cloud of cigarette smoke at the front door because the man running the check in was sitting on the porch smoking when I arrived. There was no other way to get into the building except to walk through it and I hated that. Barking dog late at night and early in the morning, that was disruptive to rest. Also, no way to control the AC from inside the room, and no way to lock the room from the inside except for the knob that had a flip type lock but there was not a lot to stop someone from the outside getting in, since only the knob locked and there wasn't even any kind of latch that closes higher up like what a hotel would have. Very weak shower with not much water pressure at all, and it took several minutes for it to turn just warm.No blinds on the windows, so especially the bathroom was an issue, because the curtain does not block the ability from someone being able to see straight through to the shower which has a clear glass door. It also meant a lot of light came in to the room early in the morning and you couldn't block out the street lights at night. Breakfast was disappointing compared to reviews

Wonderful B&B

The hosts were really amazing. The set time for breakfast was 8:30 - 9:30, but since we had to be on-site by 8, he got up early and made us breakfast at 7. And it was outstanding! The property is very nice - it apparently was recently remodeled, and it looks like it. All in all a great experience.

A great, comfortable, fun experience

Last minute reservation and an amazing find for the last night of our week long motorcycle trip. This place is cute, quaint, fun, and definitely a spot we would return to. Relaxing conversations with guests and staff on the porch led to a great recommendation for dinner. Later, the walk in shower big enough for two (or four) was the perfect end of the day before laying down in a delightful comfy bed. In the morning we were treated to a truly world class breakfast made in the kitchen while we all talked about life and pleasantries. Our new friends at the breakfast table also surprised the room with Mr. getting down on his knees and proposing to "do another 25 years" with his lovely wife. A great, comfortable, fun experience that we will look forward to doing again.

We came for July 4th. First visit to Jefferson’s activities for the holiday. We loved the small town festivities and the fireworks were amazing!! Was happy to snag a last minute room. Parked our car and walked easily everywhere we wanted to go downtown. We loved the Steamboat Inn. Beautiful! Wonderful hosts. Our room was wonderful. So charming and very clean. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend, and we’ve already booked another stay here for Christmas!

The building is very welcoming. Places to sit on the porches and visit with others. Inside is beautifully decorated. Loved the room we stayed in (Mittie Stevens Room). The detail of the decor and amenities was wonderful. Highly recommend staying there if you want to feel like a princess. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee was good.
