2BR Oceanfront in Captain's Court with beautiful views! Omni Plantation

Our lovely 2 bedroom villa is in the Captain's Court complex adjacent to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation hotel. Walk out the sliding glass doors off of the main living area onto a patio that faces the Atlantic Ocean. Walk a few steps from the patio to the boardwalk that goes down the the beach. Nearby The Amelia Island Plantation offers many activities including nearby golf, tennis, bike and walking trails, nature and Segway tours, a spa, shops and restaurants - of course this is all if you can drag yourself away from the beautiful white sand beaches!

Our villa is comfortable, well-maintained and family-friendly with easy walk out on one level to the beach and on the other level to a small grassy yard surrounded by trees. The unit is tiled throughout. The kitchen is comfortably sized with easy access to storage and appliance. It is fully stocked with dishes, small appliances and cooking utensils.

The living area is open and airy with a fabulous view of the ocean. The sofa is a queen sleeper. Other amenities include a large flat screen TV, DVD player and highspeed wireless Internet access.

The Captain's Court complex is small and intimate with only 32 units yet it is next door to the Omni hotel and very close to all the amenities of the resort. The complex has its own pool and tennis court as well. The unit is situated on the top and side of a sand dune and there are stairs from the parking lot to the unit. The unit is split-level and also include stairs. It is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

This property is not part of Omni's Amelia Island Plantation resort and does not give you access to any resort privileges or amenities.

This listing does not share how many steps it takes to get to the unit. Lots and lots of steps leading to unit plus two sets of stairs inside unit. Total of 61 steps to get to bedrooms! One guest has a recent knee replacement. This should have been included in the description. Unit was not as clean as it should have been with sleep gummies from a prior guest were left right on a nightstand in a bedroom. Host knew we had 4 adults but only provided water and snacks for 2 people, Nightstands are old, paint coming off. WiFi was incorrectly listed on email information. Did not receive email with a code to get into unit until after 4:00 pm and we had to call. Cobwebs coming out of air vents. Mattresses need updated….not as pristine as described. Would not recommend renting this unit.

Great unit and the view was absolutely gorgeous! The steps leading up to the unit itself were daunting, especially carrying all of our luggage and groceries. Definitely not for anyone with hip or leg/knee issues. Otherwise absolutely wonderful.

Let’s start with the positives. The condo is nice and the views and proximity to the beach is amazing! Now let’s talk about parking and the stairs. If you have mobility issues the flights of stairs from the parking area to the condo will be a significant issue. Not to mention during the busy season, parking will be a problem. So, if you can’t park in one of the 3 parking lots for the many condos, the stairs will become a bigger issue getting your belongings back to the condo. Beds are ok. There are stairs inside the condo as well.

Our unit had fantastic views of the ocean and wonderful proximity for hearing the surf! We enjoyed the unit, were very comfortable and our beagle, Gracie Mae, was right at home. There is a grassy area right out the front and back sliders. This is definitely the unit in Captain’s Court you want to stay in if you love the beach and ocean :)

Overall, enjoyed our stay. Great view. Easy access to beach.Only issues encountered were did not get check in information until almost when we arrived. And when we got to condo, cleaning crew was still on site cleaning the place. After that everything went well. Would stay there again.

We were very happy with our accommodations at Captain's Court. It was so wonderful to be able to walk directly to the beach and to have that beautiful view from the very comfortable patio. I wish there had been a chair or two on the pretty patio area off the bedrooms, a great place to lounge out of the wind. The door from the main bedroom to the back patio area is not operational and needs to be repaired. We did not find the steps to the unit a problem....they were well worth it for the view! We were there in late February and early March...not sure when the unit last had a deep clean but it could use it.

Stairway to Peace and Tranquility

Great property! We loved being able to walk to the Omni shops for food and shopping. We usually stay on the north end of the island, but the southern end has won us over all thanks to this location! Previous rentals we’ve stayed in have not had the best furniture; that is NOT the case here! Furniture was comfortable and well kept. Yes there are stairs, but they aren’t steep. Plush, well manicured grounds, and an amazing view of the beach! Oh and let me tell you about the sunrise, very picturesque!

Loved this place, except all the stairs. Lots of stairs going up but if you go to 3rd set, not as many. We didnt realize that the unit also has 3 floors, so basically you go up to go down... great location, beautiful condo, close to shope and restaurants on site. Falcons Nest was good. The pool was also clean and refreshing

Beautiful beachfront condo

This is a very cute, well-appointed condo with stunning ocean views. The lower level patio lets out to a beautiful green space and connects to the beach path in seconds. We had a short stay, but there is much to explore around the Omni. You do need to go down a number of stairs from the parking, which was fine for my family but may be tricky for others.

Quiet, beachfront, great paths

We had a few small issues (washing machine wouldn't start, internet went out) and the property manager Jennifer was incredibly responsive. She came to the condo twice to help with the washer and found out about the internet outage quickly. Issues are bound to arise and we are grateful she handled to quickly and effectively.
