Barceló Ixtapa is a nice and beautiful hotel that can be very friendly for families. I stayed with my family during a very busy month-week, which means a lot of noise, a lot of people and not much room to move around in common areas. Be mindful of that when you book, you want to definitely avoid high season. Food was nice, although there weren’t many options and it became repetitive (to be fair most of the people stay there only a couple of days, so I guess the buffet doesn’t feel boring, we stayed for a week). Nice customer service. However, the hotel is old

The installation needs a lot of maintenance! Nice and friendly customer service! The employees are very nice and friendly people they do everything they can to make you happy! Dinner is almost the same every night with poor options for kids however the captain of the dinning room made me order from the kitchen so my kid could eat she was very helpful!

The hotel is very nice and safe. All the people that work there were very nice, polite, respectful and helpful. They take great care of the guests. The swimming pools are wonderful and very pleasant. I know it is hard, but I would like to see better maintenance of certain things that are getting old. I also would like to see a little better quality and flavor of the food, and I would’ve liked to have a cooler temperature at the main areas to eat. Thank you so much for this wonderful vacation!

Beach & pool chairs were always taken even though they weren’t being used. Very difficult to find a place to sit. Was not informed when I booked that the all inclusive had different levels. I have stayed at another Barceló establishment in Cabo & that was not the case at that one. Not too many food options for children.
