Worst hotel I’ve ever been. Reception was just a room with one sofa and desk. Receptionist couldn’t speak English. Room was dirty and bedding sheets were filthy and stained. AC was not working in the middle of July Toilet wouldn’t sometimes flush at all and hot water wasn’t coming until at least 10 min running of water.

Cheap place in great location

It is a good, little hotel in a great location and cheap. Very limited room service, basically you get new towels every day but nothing else done. Free breakfast, not too bad, and a great view from the roof terrace. The room was small and the WiFi was bad, but I would stay there again.

New hotel with spacious rooms and awesome staff. We enjoyed our stay a lot and definitely recommend this place. Just note that the area shuts down by 10 and few to no places remain open afterwards at all. All great aside from that.

Don't let the old city put you off .Very nice hotel,clean and staffs are very kind.The location of blue mosque is very good,it's about 15-20 mins walk.The grand bazzar is also the same amount of time as the blue mosque.

I had a fantastic view of the Blue Mosque and Bosporus from my window. The value of the overall situation makes me glad that I overlooked prior negative reviews of the property. You have to go with the flow especially if the price is right. So I was not bothered by the broken toilet handle when I could walk to all the Old City sights in less tha 10 minutes.

The service and the staff at old city sultanahmet hotel was incredible. They were super nice. I arrived at the hotel 7 in the morning and I found my room ready and they also gave me breakfast which was not paid at the reservation. they also called us 5 a.m to wake us up to go to the airport and they offered coffee. everyday, they give us information about how and where to go and they gave us their private number so we can call them any time when we are outside for help. I highly recommend it.

We ask for extra 2 pillow but our 14 nights stay did nit provide. Bathroon not good dirty. In breakfast ask for omelet they do 2 days & then stop. 2 young stuff in reception always on mobile phone, not giving attention to work.

Terrible place – nothing like the pictures! This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The photos online are completely misleading – the reality is nowhere near what was shown. The room was dirty, smelled awful, and the furniture was old, filthy, and also had a bad odor. Everything felt neglected and unhygienic. The staff were extremely unhelpful and rude. They didn’t seem to care at all about the guests or any issues we brought up. Overall, the entire stay was awful and disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone – avoid it at all costs!

Dirty and bad shape, it is not worth your money.

The hotel was in bad shape and dirty, broken things like dorhandle, broken closeth, dirty lamps. The room service was only done 2 times in 6 days, you had to fix your own towels, toalet paper. The breakfast was also bad, no butter, coffe, very few alternatives. I dont have high expectactions, but you would expect some quality from 3.5 star hotel. The towels smelled bad and it was hair in the bed when we arrive the first day before we used it. The two guys tried to helps us as much the could but it wasnt their fault, the hotel was in very bad shape and not suited for being 3.5 star hotel or hotel at all. I will not recommend using this hotel.

Istanbul May 2018

The service at the hotel is amazing. Someone is always at the front desk to help you. Mustafa is very nice and helpful. I checked out but my flight was at 9 and wanted to spend a bit more time in Istanbul so they watched over my things for me (thanks guys!). My things were really heavy and they helped me carry it all to my taxi when it was time to leave. The hotel has an amazing view from the breakfast room upstairs. The hotel is within walking distance from every sight you need to see. THe Blue Mosque is only a 5 minute walk down the street. I never took a taxi once- I just walked.The hotel is a bit older and not so clean, but it is manageable and clean enough. I paid around $38 CAD when I went to Istanbul in May, so for the price I really wasn’t complaining at all, especially since I really only came back to the hotel to sleep at night. The wifi worked well. Overall I had a really good experience. Definitely a good hotel for travellers on a budget. Would consider staying again if I was in Istanbul.

Not worth the money even if it’s cheap

The has nice location but for 4hours the water was broken so we needed to buy our own water so we can flush the toilet and of course it was not the hotels fault that the water was run out but they could at least offer their costumer some water tank when they see we went back and for to get some from the minimarket. All they say was they dident now when the waters is coming back. We asked for a second blanked and was told they gonna send it up to our room, we waited for one hour and get tired of waiting so we got down to lobby and get it by our self. The breakfast was not fresh and not good and they have 2 tables with staff sitting and talking while it was a couple of tables full with dirty dishes. After all the hotel has nice location and it’s very close to sultan Ahmed and grand bazar. The staff in the reception was friendly but I think they should think a second round how to make best service to they hotel guest. We will not choose old city hotel again.
