The location was excellent for visiting the churches, the train and bus stations, and local bars with music. This is a small, family run hotel and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast food choices and quality each morning.

Centrally located, and steps away from the railway and bus stations. River ness and the beautiful bridges over it are just behind the hotel. Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast is phenomenal. Staff very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay recently at MacDougall Clansman Hotel. Iain and staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The hotel and rooms were immaculate and had all the necessary amenities. There was a heatwave happening and they were able to provide a room fan to help keep me comfortable. The location was central to all the main sights and was extremely walkable which was super convenient. The inclusion of fresh breakfast in the morning was a standout feature and fuelled me for the day of sightseeing. I cannot recommend MacDougall Clansman Hotel enough for anyone planning a trip to Inverness.

I stayed here during a three-day tour of the Scottish Highlands, with Inverness as my base. The hotel is very well located, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast normally starts at 8:00 am, but since my tour left at 7:30 am, the team was extremely kind and arranged an earlier breakfast for me. I really appreciated their flexibility and hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel.

The innkeeper has to be about the nicest gentleman in existence and bent over backwards to be helpful, including with the delicious breakfast. The facilities have a more "Scottish" feel than most places you'll find nearby; this is not a cookie-cutter hotel and I appreciated that. The bed was great. And since the core of Inverness is not huge, you're right in the middle of everything. Pretty much a can't miss.
