We chose Sherwood Inn as it was close to a number of smaller towns we wanted to visit. The older design and setting of the inn is a charm on its own; and everything was well managed and running well. The rooms are a bit dated, but very comfortable and had everything needed for a weekend stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent value for money, covering all the options on most breakfast menus; and the bar has great range supported by an excellent bartender. We did hike the trails on the property, which had great views of Lake Joseph and the forests. The trails themselves are poorly marked and the map provided by the reception is woefully out of sync with the actual trails on the ground.

A gorgeous property with beautiful views of Lake Joseph. Both restaurants were amazing with the friendliest and most helpful staff. Our room was clean with a recently renovated bathroom. Next time I would be sure to request a room that is more accessible, we were on the top floor of the furthest building and getting up & down three flights of stairs with luggage etc was difficult. Being early spring we were unable to use any of the amenities so the resort fee was somewhat unnecessary.
