Discovered a reasonably priced option for the end of 12/25. However we were surprised to find that our expectations were not met. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were met with an outdated facility. It’s astonishing that they charge a resort fee for a place that appears to be in need of renovation and or closure. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted with an unpleasant sight: people were sprawled across the sofas snoring, and the only available table was occupied by a guest with their belongings scattered everywhere. The carpet throughout the hotel emanated an unpleasant odor, and the stench in the room was so severe that we had to leave the sliding door open and “air” it out by leaving the air on which option was fan. The wallpaper was peeling, and the housekeeping seemed to neglect the cleanliness throughout the room. Despite these shortcomings, breakfast was surprisingly enjoyable thou an older gentleman greets you at the door, and if you pay attention you could discern whom he greets with kindness and whom he merely nods and says “good morning,” and seats were he pleases. However, barely managing to get out of bed with my 7 year old hypertension niece to have breakfast proved to be a challenging task. When the older gentleman mentioned that I could take my food to go, I thought it was a wonderful idea however when I paid for three people and he informs me that he could not box up three plates due to “too much food” made me really upset over choosing this location.
