I had a disappointing stay at Waikiki Malia Hotel. The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful, and they were extremely strict about both check-in and check-out times, with no flexibility at all. The room appeared recently remodeled, which was a plus, but it was not properly cleaned, had an unpleasant smell, and the walls were very thin. I could clearly hear conversations and the TV from the room next door, which made it difficult to relax. Parking was a major issue. The garage is extremely tight and not suitable for larger vehicles. I hit the wall both when entering and exiting the garage, and the walls were already covered in scratches, which clearly shows this is a common problem. They did offer complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning, which was a nice gesture, but there were no lids or trays available, making it inconvenient to take the coffee to go. Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives, and I will not be returning to this hotel.

The room was cozy and the balcony was big enough for me to sit and enjoy the island breeze. The staff was kind, helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for me. Close enough to the beach and Ala Wai canal for my daily runs. The parking garage is a tight fit but had many levels so you didn’t have to worry about parking in a tight space. I will definitely chose this hotel again.

1st the entire 9th floor had an awful smell and included inside inside the rooms,bathroom had zero air flow so you get out of shower and start sweating.2nd elevators are extremely slow and at least 1 out if order at all times.3rd parking is small,real small and real expensive,charge you daily hotel fees+tax,parking fees+tax= 7 days $665.00. This is resort fees and this place is not a resort. Yhey have tiny tiny pool and hot tub barley maintained so i dont recommend the milea
