Went to visit Hawaii, January 2026. This was my second stay at this hotel and just as my first experience, it was great! This hotel has fresh Hawaiian vibes, bright yet not overwhelming colors. Clean hotel, clean rooms & the scent throughout the hotel reminds me of Hawaiian Tropical screen lotion! The beach is just a short 2 min walk. There are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. Also, what I love most about this hotel is the location. It’s tucked away at the end corner & there’s a huge parking lot across the street. Having the parking lot there helps save money. You pay as needed.

Staff was awesome!! Room was clean, the views were amazing. Waking up every morning looking at Diamond head, having coffee from the lobby coffee bar. Feeding the little birds and taking it in. Bed was a bit hard. Nice being at the end of hotel row on Waikiki. Less crowds not noisy at all, except for some drunks yelling over in the park.

The Queen Kapiolani was a wonderful place to stay, with fun and ever-helpful staff, especially front desk and housekeeping. Terrific unobstructed views of Diamond Head across the park, and of the ocean a block away. We loved our little balcony and used it often. Lobby coffee shop is on point; the Deck restaurant/bar has the view but we found it otherwise unremarkable. There can be an unexpected amount of urban noise from time to time. Parking is expensive but Uber/Lyft was easy to use here. Neighboring hotel has a car rental desk for a longer day drive. All in all, good value, comfy room, nice shower with eco-friendly amenities, awesome location and terrific ambience.

Here’s a polished version that clearly conveys disappointment while staying factual and credible: ⸻ The location is the only redeeming quality of this hotel. It’s close to the zoo and the beach and offers a great view. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The room was very disappointing. The king bed was completely lopsided and extremely uncomfortable. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, but the staff member simply looked at me and took no action whatsoever. The overall energy among most of the staff felt flat and disengaged. This was especially noticeable at the coffee bar, where my coffee was barely warm and the barista seemed uninterested when I mentioned it. Later, when I went to the restaurant for dinner, I was told I needed a reservation for one person—even though the restaurant was half empty. It felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming. I will not stay here again or recommend this hotel, especially when there are plenty of other first-class hotels that actually deliver first-class service.
