In general it was awesome the staff is very nice, but the building is very run down so it is what it is. You can't go wrong with the location.

This is a very simple and miimalistic hotel, where YMCA rooms turned to rooms for ascetic people, who just need to sleep and nothing else. The room has no rehular glasses on windows, no a/c, so it is very humid in the room. But if you have limited funds, this stay is for you.

Parking was easy and convenient. The Central YMCA is across from Ala Moana shopping center which has everything you could possibly need. It is also huge and confusing. The Y was a blessing. Accommodations in the area are exorbitant so finding a reasonable place was a relief. It’s an old building so it’s a bit dingy but a private room, a place to sleep… that’s all I needed.

This is not a hotel, this is low income short term housing marketed as a hotel in an attempt to trick unsuspecting travellers into booking cheap accommodations. It becomes very clear when you check in and they hand you a "hand book" of rules. Rule books that say they will do random room checks, and not to leave valuable items in your room unattended as they risk being stolen. Once I checked I immediately found cockroaches in my room and noticed the stained sheets. The next morning I found bed bugs crawling under the door of the another room I had to leave the next day due to family emergency and they only offered to refund me 50% I was there for a total of 9 hours, I will be pursuing a full refund through my credit card as the services provided were not as advertised. Do not stay here
