The hotel was wonderful. Its location is perfect for an easy walk to the waterfront and cbd. The room was fantastic, really warm in the winter months. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the complementary breakfast set me up for the day.

Heritage building, well maintained. Rooms have recently been updated and still have an older feel just due to the nature of building itself. Comfortable bed. Staff at reception/bar super lovely and helpful! Continental breakfast was great. Accessible location. Very limited parking but fairly good access to street parking. Would recommend.

Fabulous ambience, close to everywhere we wanted to go and lovely friendly staff. Disappointing that rooms are not made up unless that service specifically asked for which seems to be the norm now. Would definitely recommend the Macquarie and would stay there again.

It was ok though they didn’t have a microwave in the room and the one they had in their kitchen was not functioning when I tried it. Their staff very friendly and courteous. Their breakfast was very good.

The hotel building is 150 yrs old but I think it is very comfortable to live in. There are only 5 free parking slots. I had to pay for the parking outside. There is notice saying that pre-booking is required however I revisit their website again and cannot find any related information.
