Hotel ATHENA in Saigon has very spacious and clean rooms, very comfortable beds, and the staff are polite, respectful, welcoming, and very attentive. It's in a very convenient location with lots of eateries nearby. The hotel is also very affordable. Next time I return to Saigon, I will definitely stay here again. The rooms were much smaller than advertised. The photos made them look larger, cleaner, and more updated than what we actually received. Upon arrival, the room was cramped, outdated, and not clean. The bathroom was especially disappointing—dirty overall, and the shower/tub leaked water onto the floor. I informed the front desk and asked if a room change was possible, but they repeatedly refused, saying there was nothing they could do because I booked through Expedia, which was extremely frustrating and unhelpful. During my three-week stay, I also noticed several bugs crawling on the floor, which only added to the discomfort. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations in cleanliness, comfort, or customer service. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The rooms are really small! The water took forever to get warm. When asking for extra towels, they gave me attitude about it. They didn’t restock toiletries on the daily. The gym is tiny. It was only $50 night, you get what you pay for? The daily breakfast buffet was decent though.
