After pre-paying for 2 rooms including 3 pets, we were turned away at check-in at 11:45pm after a 14 hour drive thru snowy roads. Apparently, even with the reservation, the motel only had a certain number of rooms that allow pets and none were saved for us to fulfill our reservation. Absolutely livid that they offered no solutions other than that I contact Expedia for a refund.

I was unable to check into the three rooms that I had paid for due to the hotel clerk informing me that I had to pay an extra $50 for the security deposit. I have the security deposit and confirmation number on my phone. That was not accepted. I would like my money back.

So the staff was friendly and the police was clean however there were three considerable problems. The first was the big heating unit kicked on and off very loudly all night making an impossible to sleep and sadly that's really the one most important thing when you are in a hotel is that you rest and we did not. The breakfast was cold and they didn't even have a microwave for us to warm it up and a bunch of area around the exterior where you would park and drive was a mud hole. I think giving it a two is being generous

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. And the stay was very affordable! We stayed here the night before heading to a Chiefs game the next morning and was a good spot to stay that is only 40 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium.

I struggled with rating the hotel between OK and good. The hotel did have some good qualities. It has been remodeled and it had nice floors and walls and was clean. The hotel looks OK as you’re pulling up, but it could use some nice landscaping out front. I wrestled with the heater a few times during the night as it kept turning off and then I would have to get my cell phone light and mess with it. It is also quite difficult to operate – the controls. The TV worked well and was easy to operate.Didn’t have any fruit for breakfast. Breakfast was fine. What would have really improved? The appearance of the inside is if they would have replaced the woodwork. The old woodwork was used and repainted, but it had seen its share of rough usage in its day and was banged up. The rooms could use a ladies touch with some decorating.
