The floor in my room was sticky to my bare feet. The weird little elevator closed on my hand and scratched me. The employee who was just standing there inside the elevator said it wouldn't go up, so I went to get out, and the doors closed fast again - this time bumping my shoulders. Pro tip - the bathroom light switch is opposite the bathroom door with the other light switches. Wasted about 5 minutes on that one. The lobby has a weird/choppy layout. Poorly designed and poorly maintained.

The hotel did not look like the photos online. The bathroom shower did not have a door so the entire bathroom was soaked after taking a shower. The hotel is a couple blocks away from the main shopping and dining areas and at night it felt unsafe to walk through the back alleys to get to the hotel.

The view from my room was amazing. The breakfast options were also good the only thing I would change is the music they put for breakfast, the playlist its too party like. The location is very good, super centric.

Nice enough place with easy walking into shopping and dining areas. Clean. Nice room and balcony. One of the things that I searched on was parking included and it’s not really. It’s on an incredibly busy street where you can’t even stop and parking is in a lot around the corner and cost about €22 for two nights.

The location of Lato Boutique Hotel is pretty good - close to the airport and fort. You could walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The room was large but needed repairs and updates. Our first night there we noticed the shower was not draining properly and then water started pouring onto the floor from underneath the tub portion. We had to use all of our towels to soak it up. I notified the staff twice but no solutions were provided other than more towels to soak up the water. We will not be staying at Lato Boutique Hotel again.

The property is right next to the harbor and had a wonderful view of it. While the hallway was a little worn the rooms were nicely done. If you have a car the parking is not that close, luckily found street parking right in front of the hotel. Overall the hotel was a pleasant stay with friendly staff.

Perfect location for all there is to experience in Haraklion. The hotel was busy with international (mostly American) tour groups creating a bit of congestion from time to time. A great location from which you can walk almost everywhere. We didn’t dine at the hotel but it did come recommended. Our room on the 5th floor had plenty of space and great views over the harbour. Bathroom was clean and serviceable.

Let me summarize the issues we have had with this hotel: 1. we paid an extra price to get the seaview room and we are assigned by the first floor where we can only see roofs 2. the front desk was talking loudly over the phone last night and I was woke up by 2am and could not fall asleep since 3. there are bed bugs in the room and both me and my daughter got bites.

The Lato is in an excellent location if you are catching a ferry. Only about 10-15 minutes walk to the pier. The rooms are basic and small. Clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was the highlight. Food is good and excellent service for dinner and the free breakfast buffet was great.
