Extremely helpful staff who assisted me when I booked for the wrong the date and even put up with the awful AI voice agent that Hotels.com use. Hotel was lovely. The bed was a little short for my 6’3 frame - that’s the only minor gripe. Breakfast was fabulous looking out to sea.

Our room had a stunning sea view if Housel Bay which is itself utterly breathtaking. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming, authentically friendly, and beyond helpful. The cleaning staff did a superb job efficiently and unobtrusively. And the bar and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient and added to the entire dining experience in the beautiful terrace restaurant with it's wonderful food and incredible view!

We had a most enjoyable four night stay at the Housel Bay hotel. A fantastic location with gorgeous sea views from the Terrace restaurant and patios outside. We had a fairly small but perfectly adequate room on the 2nd floor (lift worked perfectly) with a country view, which we thought was very good value. Not much space to hang clothes but OK. Bathroom was spotless and shower was great. Delicious breakfasts and all the staff were helpful and charming. We had one evening meal there, which was delicious if rather pricey, The only fault was that the plug on the washbasin was faulty and needed replacing as the water just ran away. I did report this, and hope it will be repaired for future guests. Thoroughly recommended overall, and we may well make a return visit.

Jaw dropping setting, tired building, so so room. Crippling understaffing at breakfast time leaves many customers waiting 10 minutes for coffee and over 39 minutes for breakfast. If you are short of staff, consider offering continental only option. Fast, easy.
