The service at this hotel was incredible! They went out of their way to take care of us! Booked our excursions, took care of our transportation to Hanoi, gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and even took care of our laundry. We highly recommend this hotel.

The location is right in the middle of old quarter with access to lots of the local cuisines. It’s walkable to beer street and Ha Noi night market. The staff at this hotel is knowledgeable and friendly and daily breakfast was great.

The room was good. The bathroom door is glass and I wish it is not because I had to leave the bathroom light on at night for safety reasons. I also wonder why 3-4 steps necessary to lower the floor a bit, making it hard to move luggages

We stayed at twin room on level 4 which was spacious and has a window looking outside to someone's laundry/clothesline 😅 Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great and works for our day tour pick up location. I didnt bother with a lot of sightseeing places. What I didnt like about this room is moisture. Room is a bit dark and there is that damp smell all the time. Later on we moved to another room and it was fine. We didnt bother with spa or massage service on site. Breakfast was ok. Small variety but it was fine for me.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Matilda. Located in great area of the old quarter. Lots of shopping, restaurants and good nightlife options, all within a short walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everyone speaks very good English. Would certainly come back without hesitation!

For the location the rooms are very large. Shower was great! We only stayed one night so not having a window in the room is not a big deal, but that’s common with the location and the buildings in the area. Overall a great place to stay!

The room was spacious and clean with balcony overlooking the street. Great value for money and definitely coming back. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful, especially the two young ladies. They went out of their way to help by offering guidance and information. They are both a credit to the hotel.

Maltida worked, medium on mattress (medium and especially soft can be a challenge to find in south east asia). Breakfast was delicious and ample enough variety and good juice and coffee. staff was friendly and helpful. used airport transfer service. my intl phone was acting up at airport, so had to buy vietnam sim to make contact with hotel and coordinate my pickup. arrival area was confusing and chaotic. and lots of tots trying to get you into their transport cars. Overall stay was great. its in very busy portion of old Hanoi, so walking, traffic and tots can be overwhelming.
