So for the price (about $20/night) this one stands at a five star hidden gem. It checks all the boxes, with train street location that is ideal and a short walk to St Joesph Cathedral. The staff is also ideal, running an excursion desk that has you covered for all your travel needs. I have stayed here before and will continue to do so the next time I’m in Hanoi.

The rooms are not very clean at all. I wouldn't mind staying in an old, outdated property so long as it were clean. We had ants in the room, the bathrooms had mold, the shower drains do not work, the shower door was broken. I regret staying here.

This hotel does not deserve even 2 star. The staffs were helpful but hotel was very old. It needs to be renovated. The room was not clean enough. They sell the room with window but without sun light and air. That kind room has to include more explanation but there wasn't any info when I reserve it. I have claustrophobia. That's why I reserved a room with window but I didn't know that window was just opposite of wall and there was only 30 cm between wall and window. That night was a nightmare because there was not availibility for the room with real window for two nights. The other night I went to cruise trip to not to stay that room again.
