This cottage is set in peaceful, secure park like grounds at the end of a short col-de-sac, a short distance from the Hamurana Springs, trout fishing and Lake Rotorua. The cottage was constructed with wheelchair access in mind and has ample safe parking. 15 minutes drive into the Rotorua tourist attractions .Relax outside in the patio area and stargaze at night with the clear skies or have a glass of wine and listen to the local bird life especially the native Tui's when the cherry trees are in blossom

Jerry and Cherry were wonderful hosts - very friendly, responsive, and helpful! The cottage looks just as it does in the picture. It's probably best to arrive during daylight the first time - it's not really tricky, but could be if it's dark. Parking is good. It has a nice living room with TV and games, though we were on the go a lot, so we didn't spend a ton of time there. We had breakfast a few times at the cottage, including some fresh eggs from the host, and we made use of the pans and dishes. We stayed in one bedroom and our son stayed in the bedroom with the smaller beds - comfy. We were there during the summer so it was mostly warm and we used the AC unit in the living room a few times. There are electric blankets for the winter and I bet it's pretty cozy. The house is pet friendly and that might bother some with allergies, but good for those with pets. Washer and dryer were very handy but they can take a while. I liked the shower and water was warm - bathroom could get humid after that but you could just open a window. It's in a really quiet location and my wife thought she heard a kiwi call one of the nights we had our windows open. One of the nights was clear and we walked up the driving path to a goregous view of stars: this included an upside-down (to us) Orion with the nebulas and a faint Milky Way. About 15 minutes away from everything in Rotorua, on the non-sulfur smell side of the lake. When visiting family in the area, we would definitely stay there again!

Friendly welcome and a lovely location. If you want peace and quiet with nature sounds with a hint of country, this is the spot. We enjoyed the stay, it can be patchy with wifi or cell service which we didnt mind as this allowed us to shut off and really enjoy the serenity and each others company. We were thankful for the delivery of some fresh eggs on arrival which made for a delicious brekkie and we looovveedd the shower water pressure. Thank you :)

A lovely location for a long weekend, was perfect for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Short walk to a nice lake front walk. Jerry is a great host, most welcoming and the fresh eggs provided on arrival beautiful.

I stayed in winter with my dog and it was very warm and cosy, great kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and hot showers. It’s very quiet which was just what we wanted and my dog settled really well in her crate.Lovely garden area, which I’m sure would look amazing in spring and summer.Jerry was a welcoming host and we would definitely love to stay again.

Quiet country charmer with delightful hosts - highly recommended

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Cherry Tree Cottage with our dog. The cottage was well appointed and it was a nice gesture as we were given some eggs for our breakfast. Jerry and Cherry were charming hosts.

Perfectly Located

Bach is perfectly located for exploring the many amazing places in the Rotorua area. The free range welcome eggs were much enjoyed as were the many bird sightings and songs. We enjoyed our time there and would rent it again.Jan and Phill

Was greeted by our host Jerry with fresh eggs provided by the resident chooks. The Cottage was overall very good value for money. The only complaint was very dirty windows and dog poop on the drive in front of the Cottage on both days.

Lovely Spot!

We had a lovely stay in Hamurana, it was so nice to be able to stay out of the city but still be close enough that we could go mountain biking each day without hassle. Very welcoming hosts :) our labradoodle had a great time in the big garden, thanks again!

Christmas break

Loved the place. Everything necessary was there. Great and safe from my 2 dogs that came with me. We were lucky we had amazingly summery weather, but even if it had rained, it would have been just as relaxing. Great to be able to chill out, listen to the birds, and loved the surrounding vegetation.
