Problems with my checkin to start with. The lobby and hallways had an odor. The breakfast was not much. There were very few people staying there, and I was told they were booked up. The TV in the room had issues. Might be Ok as a last resort, but I will not stay there again.

I ended up not staying at this location due to the hotel attendant stated that hotels.com did not pay them that if I was going to stay there I'd have to pay him directly. I told him I was not going to pay both. Especially since he was being bossy and rude. The outside of the hotel was severely neglected green all on the side; the pool was covered. Nothing to write home about. I can only imagine what the rooms looked like since the outside did not show as it was advertised on hotels.com. Would not recommend this to no one!

Not secure in any way! Management are rude and condescending! They are not welcoming. This establishment woulnd not honor my booking through Expedia. They blamed Expedia compter systems for not getting payment and demanded that I cancel through Expedia and pay them cash!! A Scam!!!

The Microtel Inn in Ponchatoula, LA, said that Expedia never paid them for my stay May 18th-19th due to a "glitch" and claimed to cancel my reservation then tried to get me to pay them directly, but it didn't show up in Expedia and somehow was modified to the 17th which I didn't book. So, it still charged me so I had to dispute it with bank. Nasty outside propery, sketchy clerks. Awful service and I don't think they were telling the truth at all, I think they were trying to get me to pay twice to both Expedia and to the hotel.

This hotel needs a serious upgrade. Sheets were nasty! Toilet had so much black stuff in it, tub was not clean enough to use. Latch on the dirt was broke! Just nasty! I had a long night sleeping on top of the cover in a knot
