Fishing heaven ? Nothing but weeds off the dock, which had no railings!! Not a good idea if you have vertigo. Not pleased about putting toilet paper in the garbage instead of flushing it down the toilet. The parking was a nightmare!! Especially since we are elderly people with walking uphill or downhill issues!! Other than that, we had a pleasant weekend.

The cottage itself was clean, full of charm, and had a fun retro vibe. We especially enjoyed the record player and collection of records. It was a unique touch that added to the experience. The location is beautiful, and my kids had an amazing time fishing from the dock, catching a ton of fish, so the listing describing it as a “Fish Haven” was definitely accurate.Unfortunately, our overall experience was affected by poor communication before and during our stay, discrepancies between the listing and the property’s condition, inadequate amenities upon arrival, and some safety concerns. I appreciate that the host and Vrbo ultimately worked with us to provide partial compensation after we documented the issues, and I hope the concerns are addressed and the listing is updated so future guests know what to expect.With better communication, maintenance, and attention to the guest experience, this could be a wonderful place to stay.
