Great place to stay! Clean and quiet and right at the airport. Our flight arrived at 2:00am so we just checked in and went to sleep. In the morning we walked to the car rental area and started our trip.

The pool and hot tub is closed until further notice. That should have been stated on their website as it has been closed for awhile. The lighting in the rooms is poor. The hallways are very dark. Why would a hotel paint the hallway walls black? The directions to the lobby are confusing. The lobby is not on the ground floor. The shower tub was very slippery so a bathmat should be provided. The wifi is poor and the tv isn’t very user friendly. The location to the airport is great but the high cost of this hotel room isn’t worth the ease of the stay to catch a flight. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The Alt Hotel is new and modern with good quality sheets and towels. The little restaurant and bar served good food and had great pizza and wine/beer/cocktails. We have stayed at other airport hotels but this was the best by far. It was easy to drop off the rental car and just walk over to the reception. Equally we could walk to the airline check in without going outside.

Convenient hotel for flights. It is same price and far less hassle to simply park, take a ticket and pay directly when leaving parking lot. The airport parking through hotel was a hassle, you have to go back into the hotel to validate the ticket. Hotel staff issued an invalid coupon that was not accepted, turned around at gate and had to go back to hotel. If it’s exactly 7 days or 14 days, they have a coupon. If it’s not exactly 7 or 14 days, the staff did not know how to handle this, even though we had paid in advance for 10 days parking. Wasted an hour and ended up costing more than if we just paid parking commission directly.

We stayed at the Alt Hotel Halifax when we arrived home from Europe as it was a later flight and an early morning to be on the road. Perfect. It still felt like vacation. We’ve stayed here a few times and it always feels like a nice thing to do for yourself.

Parking horrible impossible to get in to like a maze took 15 minutes plus 2 sets of stairs to find the lobby no elevator below that this should not be a hotel but more of a game show Food was great service staff great but the endless music or beat would drive anyone including the staff crazy will never repeat or recommend this horrific place to anyone. Sorry but not sorry.

So easy when you fly in to Halifax, especially if it’s raining. Covered overpass takes you strait to hotel. Chicken sandwich at the restaurant was excellent.
