"Such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere! The place was clean and comfortable, but the highlight was all of the animals that were so friendly and roaming around the property. We were so amused by the goats lounging on the recliners, the chickens perched in the trees, and we cherished cuddling the dogs! The afternoon goat and dog walk was such a treat. Warning, one of the rescued roosters crowed before it was anywhere nearing sunrise! We just dealt with it, knowing he was a rescue and that would happen. "

"This was our second stay at Terry's wonderful cottage. We can't recommend this place enough. The cottage's setting is nestled in the trees overlooking the blue waters off of the Hana coast. Privacy and serenity are what this place is all about. It's the perfect home base for exploring this side of the Island without the rush. Lots of extras are included like beach chairs, coolers, towels etc. We will return!"

"What a sweet place to stay! As one reviewer said, somewhere between glamping and a studio apartment. Really the best of both worlds. Inside and out, this is a a private space, with expansive views of the ocean and across the strait to Mauna Kea on the Big Island. The hosts have included amenities you might forget, and we were pleasantly surprised to find many condiments in the fridge. I can't imagine a better location if you want to explore the Kipahulu side of Haleakala (highly recommended!)."
