The hotel is tucked away in a small side street from the street, but clearly marked and easy to find. The staff (one guy and his family) were great and friendly and very helpful, arranging a day tour and a bus to Haiphong for me. The room itself was nice, though no windows, but had a desk and multiple wall chargers. I do wish the room had a water kettle of its own. But that elevator! I loved the elevator and the ding sound it made when reaching a floor and how it would trail upwards! What a great elevator! Great location within Cat Ba too. Close to all the restaurants, the bay, and the hiking trail up to the mountains above town.
