Cozy apartment with a beautiful view, quiet location.

Our chalet is located at 1100 meters above sea level. in the mountain village of Habkern above Interlaken. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and at the same time have a variety of opportunities for excursions (Jungfrau region, Grimselwelt) and experiences in the great world of the Bernese Oberland Alps. The beautiful city of Thun with its offers is also easily accessible.
Mountains such as the Augstmatthorn (2137m above sea level), the Gemmenalphorn (2061m above sea level) or the Hoh Gant (2197m above sea level) can be climbed directly from the house. The Lombachalp high moor area can be reached in your own car or with the Alpin bus.
The apartment with garden seating is on the ground floor of our chalet and can accommodate 3 people. This includes a parking space and a covered patio.
You can reach a bakery and a bus stop in a few minutes' walk (pick-up service may be possible).
TV, radio and WiFi are freely available in the apartment

The Habkern location is absolutely stunning in the mountains and yet not far from town so you get the best of both worlds. Jo was a great host gave us great tips for hikes which brought us to stunning vistas and panoramic mountain top views. The charming church bells and cow bells created such sense of peace and relaxation. Highly recommend. Morning coffee on the patio with the Mountain View’s has to be experienced!

Beautiful stay in Habkern

Had a great holiday here. The chalet was comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed for a week away. Located in a lovely, quiet village with beautiful walks from the door and a free hourly bus into town. Great base for exploring the wider area.

Amazing view

Apartment located on the mountain with amazing view very clean I felt at home the host very nice and fast communicate with our questions plus has every things need it in kitchen provide spices cook oil olive oil and other things I will come back in my next visit to Switzerland

Nice apartment on a quiet location

Nice and quiet apartment with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Beds are firm but comfortable, only some more comfortable outdoor chairs would have finished it off perfectly. Joachim is a very friendly host who is around when needed.

Chalet Schurli, Habkern

If you are a couple looking for peace and tranquillity then this is the place for you. The host was most helpful. The only slight negative was the flies and one night being bitten by mosquito's, but if you go prepared it is a minor inconvenience. Overall a most enjoyable two week holiday.

We loved the location of this property, it is in the country, about 16 minutes from Interlaken. There is a free bus that stops every 35 minutes past the hour that takes you to Interlaken. You have to walk from the property to the bus stop but it is only about an 8 minute walk. We loved the walk to/from the property to the bus stop because we enjoyed the scenery of the mountains, cows and just everything about the village. Joe is a great host, he greeted us and was very accomodating. I had the opportunity to go mountain biking and hiking with him, and it was a great experience. I really enjoyed his friendship. The village is just incredible, with the mountains and the fields, the colors, the quietness and the peace, the animals, we were just mezmerized by the beauty. We were there for 6 days at the end of May and the weather was perfect during that time with no rain and perfect temperatures.

Jo met us and showed us around when we arrived. He understands and speaks English well along with German and Danish. He has a beautiful apartment perfectly suited for 2-3. The kitchen is stocked with most needed cooking utensils. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Jo made sure we could do laundry. He even bought us local pastries one morning!

Quiet Swiss Village

My wife and I are seniors and stayed at this apartment for 9 nights in early October 2022. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The village and area are still primarily a farming area. The only noise was the pleasant sound of the cow bells. Jo and Sylvia are excellent hosts and very friendly. We used the free bus pass to go to Interlaken often. I would recommend the walk from Murren to Gruntschwald as a nice easy gentle downhill walk for an old fellow with bad knees! We also were impressed with the St Beatus Caves a short bus ride away. All in all a first class experience. Thanks Jo!

The worst experience ever with vrbo

At check in the security door was propped open (1st red flag). The building looked as if it was under renovation in the hallways(lots of dust and debris. Once I entered the unit it was not cleaned at all! The bedroom had been slept in, the shower and bathroom had been used (dirty towels on floor etc.). At that point I felt unsafe thinking someone would return while I was there. I immediately left and contacted the host. I never returned.
