Perfect chalet for a family trip to Switzerland
My family of five stayed here for six days and loved the property and its surroundings. Each morning and evening, we could hear cow bells from the surrounding farms, and the view from the back porch over the hills was stunning. Habkern is a more rural option than others many tourists go to but it was a great base for us to use because we went to many different areas around the Jungfrau region. Although a bus comes to the town and right by the home, we had a car and feel like that was really necessary to stay here for more convenience. I don’t know the frequency of the bus, but it didn’t seem to come that often. The home was very clean, and had everything we needed! For sleeping — comfortable beds, ample towels, linens, and even robes and slippers! For meals — the kitchen had all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils we could have desired and the coffee machine was wonderful and well stocked. The common areas were comfortable and we could gather to sit and eat together with enough space. There was a washing machine and dryer that we used for small loads (they take longer to complete vs USA but that is how we experienced all European washers/dryers). The hosts were very easy to communicate with during the entire booking process all the way through departure. I highly recommend this property and will count it among my favorite VRBO’s we’ve stayed in!
