Staff here are helpful when asked. Rooms are large and clean. It’s conveniently close to Sunworld Halong Park (literally across the street) and a few minutes away by car to the ports (if you’re going to go on a cruise). If you happen to get a room that faces the Sunworld park, you can see the fireworks that occur every weekend (don’t worry it’s not loud where you can’t sleep at night). And right outside the hotel is a 24/7 minimart that you can buy late night cheap beers/snacks to eat in your room if needed.

Muong Thanh Luxury Ha long Centre hotel was above expectations. Food was excellent. The room was spotless and beautiful Ocean view. Friendly and accommodating staffs, willing to help with a smiles. There was a young manager name Mr Ngoc that help to serve us breakfast, he was very polite and helpful. Definitely will comeback and stay here ad my hotel of choice.

The location is excellent , close to everything. Staff is friendly, but very hesitant to help. The rooms are outdated, the sink in my room kept getting clogged. The ac in the hotel was not working, in the room it was comfortable. Breakfast selection was limited compared to the other hotels we stayed at. Would rate it 2 star, but the view from the room was breathtaking.

We went to Ha Long Bay for a two night cruise. We wanted to stay a night after the cruise so we don’t have to rush to the airport. Breakfast buffet was just okay. Too many people and very chaotic. For a little more money you can stay at other hotel. This property looked rundown. Not well maintained

The hotel is listed as 5 star, but it had very low occupancy and as a result there was no air conditioner in the lobby and elevators, the buffet was pretty poor and definitely not up to par, likely for the same reason. The room was comfortable with nice view, but no shower cap/comb/ toothbrush were provided and we were charged for the LAUNDRY BAG!! The water from the shower was spilling over to the toilet room. Gym was closed. Definitely not 5 star hotel.

Wonderful Stay

We were on a cruise and had an overnight stay Halong Bay so we decided to spend the night at a hotel. Our tour guides recommended we stay here. It was only a five minute drive from cruise port and walking distance to all the local restaurants. Check in was easy with four people helping just us. One even showed us around the property. We had a spectacular view of the city, our ship and the amusement park below. Only complaint was the disco across the bay was really loud in our room but it did stop by midnight. Breakfast was incredible. Need to come back and stay longer. $87 for a luxury hotel? Only in Vietnam! This was Four Seasons quality in USA.
