Everything about this Ambassador cruise was outstanding. The cabin was spacious, spotless and beautifully appointed. The crew were wonderful -friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. We had an amazing overnight stay. The staff were very welcoming, informative and professional. We opted to have dinner in our room (private dining). This was definitely a very rememberable experience with a six course meal. The food for the whole trip was some of the nicest I had. The view from our room was breathtaking. I hightly recommended Ambassador Cruises in Ha Long Bay.

Best Cruise for Tour of Halong Bay

This is a gorgeous cruise. The service is EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. It is definitely Luxurious and they have Live Music with 2 singers that have the voices of angels. I will go back and tell my friends that this is the cruise to take for Halong Bay….Amazing!!!

Overall a good experience

Overall a good experience and quality. Quite expensive to be Vietnam but it also includes food and activities. We participated in three activities and all places were very crowded. So the activities could have been better but the view from the room is amazing. The service overall is good and the food was tasty.

Worth every penny spent on this cruise. Food served was very good with great activities planned. Special mention to Emily & lisa who served us during our trip. They cater to ur needs. Celebrated our 2nd yr anniversary on the cruise. The cruise staff decorated our room, gave us a surprise during dinner. Blown by their service. They have very good vocals on cruise as well if u enjoy live music.

Our cruise through Ha Long Bay was a memorable and largely wonderful experience, made especially special by the incredible staff onboard. Hien and the manager, Bell, truly stood out—they were warm, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt comfortable and cared for. Their genuine hospitality added a personal touch that elevated the entire trip. I also appreciated the cruise’s efforts toward environmental sustainability, particularly the use of refillable glass water bottles. It’s a thoughtful and impactful step in reducing waste, and one that didn’t go unnoticed. That said, there’s still room for improvement. I was surprised and honestly disheartened by how much garbage is visible in Ha Long Bay itself. Given that reality, it feels even more important for cruise operators to lead by example. Eliminating single-use plastics entirely—such as the plastic-wrapped slippers provided in cabins—would be a meaningful step forward. These items seem unnecessary and out of alignment with the otherwise positive sustainability efforts. Overall, this was a beautiful and relaxing experience, enhanced by outstanding service. With a stronger commitment to minimizing plastic waste, the cruise could truly set a standard for environmentally responsible tourism in such a stunning natural setting.

I booked a Deluxe cabin for 2. Got a pleasent surprise during the check-in as they provided an upgraded Premium cabin to me. The entire process from check-in to checkout including the to and fro transfer to the Cruise and the excursions was hassle free and nicely managed. The entire staff was very courteous and was able to help us out whenever needed. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was also good, infact they also provided Indian food which was also a surprise for us. There are couple of improvements which we have communicated to the Cruise Managers and has been well noted by them for future experience 1. Good quality WIFI should be made available on the entire cruise. It was only available in the Restaurant and Reception area and that too didn't work sometimes 2. Some of the Indian dishes didn't have right amount of salt infact no salt I would say and couple of dishes not prepared as per the description like Laccha Paratha(chapati was served instead of layered paratha) and Poha (made of rice instead of rice flakes)
