We've stayed here several times... myself, my 2 teen boys and our Newfoundland doggo. The building is on the older side, but decently maintained. The staff is super helpful and wonderful to interact with if needed. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and thorough. The chairs on the top of the hill behind the hotel are an excellent place to relax and the view of Monument Mountain is spectacular from there! If you enjoy hiking, access to the trails on Monument Mountain are just down the road. Having access to the amenities at The Red Lion Inn is a great bonus.

Okay place to spend a night but don’t expect any service. This place uses remote “staff” to run the joint. I called the “desk” around 6:30 pm with a request. Got a call back around noon the next day, when we were well on our way. No soaps, no shower cap. Only plus was an urn of good coffee in the otherwise empty lobby. Not much for $160 or so.

Unfortunately the power went out around 10 pm and never came back on by the time we left at 7 am. We tried reaching out to staff at the Red Lion, the parent company of the Little Lion. No one picked up the phone nor responded to our message. We had no power, no lights, no water, no A/C. Other than not being able to get a hold of staff our stay was very good.

A nice safe and quiet place to stay. Park right in front of your door. My dog loved the large grass area. The room was large and the beds very comfortable. The heat was on when we arrived which was great . It was cold and snowy that day. I loved having the self check-in and check out. We plan on going back the next time we are in the area.
