"I have to say , WOW! Both me and my husband enjoyed our stay so much at the Dakota . We originally booked a king room for our last two days to relax before our flight . After our first night , though the room was stunning , but we decided we wanted to indulge. I went down to reception where Brooke helped us , and organized a suite for the remainder of our stay . They allowed us to relax in our previous room until the suite was ready , which was before normal check in time (3pm) . Bringing us into the room shortly after 12pm. If you go to this hotel , I highly recommend upgrading . Though the entry level rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable , the suites are truly an experience. Every need is met before you even have to ask , and the staff were incredible . During our stay in Scotland we visited 4 hotels , and this was by far the best hospitality we received. The champagne service is such a lovely touch as well ! It was the most relaxed and calm we’ve been during our entire trip . Thank you so much to the entire Dakota staff (especially Brooke and David ) for making it truly amazing . We will definitely be back !"

"The place is about 15 mins from the airport and near in Oldtown, just ride 1 bus to get there. The only problem we experienced is no bath curtain and no instruction how to turn on the shower."

"Rooms could do with a refresh, carpets were quite dirty and deep clean / shampoo would help, quite musty. Breakfast - not great, orange juice was coloured water, no taste at all, sausages / bacon over cooked and clearly cheap. Overall for the price and good location, was okay for a 1 night stay to go out in the city."

"The hotel was basic, clean-ish. Was glad was only there one night. The bed and towel were clean so that was fine. The receptionist was lovely and helpful- that was the highlight of the hotel!"
