Magnificent house! Perfect for snowmobilers!
Ran in to one of the owners while checking out another home they have in Grand Marais, and they had just listed this one and told us to check it out. How could we pass it up with a heated garage for 8 sleds??? Our group of 10 is now spoiled. Owners and caretaker were amazing. Had a couple quick power outages, and caretaker ran us up some candles and kept us in the loop with what power company was telling him! Communication was a breeze, and we had everything we needed. The large entry area was excellent for all of our gear. Helmet hooks in the garage kept everything warm too! Plenty of storage room. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need, except a blender. Baking supplies, crock pot, griddle, stand-up mixer, and plenty of pots, pans, and silverware. Fridge had a hard time making ice, but we brought our own anyhoo. Beds are great - the adjustable ones are even greater! Pillows are great and plentiful. All rooms are nice size, nothing feels cramped in this house. The living room area was very comfy with plenty of seating. Fireplace keeps you warm and toasty, and if nothing is on tv, look out the windows! Deer walking back & forth, lakeshore, and the night sky are amazing! Loved having the in-floor heat too! Two bathrooms upstairs, one downstairs. All three have showers and no tubs, so a hot tub would be a really nice addition to this place. Plenty of towels, washcloths, and hand towels for everyone. We stayed 9 nights, so the washer & dryer in the one upstairs bathroom came in handy! Game room was used for a ping-pong challenge, as well as the foosball table. The two elliptical machines sat still. We also took advantage of the Weber grill and had burgers one night, and chicken on it another. If you're looking for an awesome place, this is it! Spend the money and do it!
