We stayed one night for an elk hunt the next morning. The staff was amazing and the food reminded me of back home in Kansas it was an actual hand breaded chicken fried steak not a dang store bought out of the box which is extremely hard to find in Colorado. The sides were great as well and large helping of them. Rooms were cozy and were 10x better than ones I stayed in, I’m crested butte for 3x as much.

Rich local charm

For a genuine western Colorado experience, you can’t beat the rustic charm of the Wagon Wheel and the town of Mesa. The lounge and its local attendees and staff are a lot of fun. Friday nights are a great time to visit. The surrounding area on and below the Grand Mesa is beautifully scenic and dense with great adventure activities year round.

We really enjoyed our stay...and the restaurant and staff were great!! The room was super-cute! My only suggestion: The WI-FI was really spotty in the room.....but pretty good elsewhere....I was able to use my phone to keep up on business.

Everything I wanted here was great.

My main reason for the overnight stay was that I could not get home in time to watch Sunday football. At check-in, the receptionist made sure I knew which TV channel to select. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. Between games, I just trotted down stairs for a turkey sandwich, sweet potatoe fries, and a beer. I was happy with the food and service there as well. Today I will take in a hike before heading home.

We had a very long drive from iowa and were extremely hungry, dirty, and exhausted. We were able to eat a great inexpensive meal at the restaurant, got accommodated to check in a little early so we could get showered and sleep peacefully the rest of the day and night. It was a very low key safe place with every we needed. Special thanks to the woman in charge- I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name. She was wearing many hats- bartender, waitress, hotel receptionist and was super busy managing everything and was very patient with my exhausted husband❤️

No outdoor space for guests except on restaurant patio. Internet never did work. Advertised breakfast but then there was sign that they were not serving breakfast. No other restaurants in town. Restaurant food was good for dinner except since we wanted to eat outside because of the dog service was anytime they could get to us. Room was adequate. Appreciated mini fridge and free standing shower. Short drive to beautiful lakes but not much in “town” of Mesa.
